Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
Visit Paris: so many great stories are set in Paris, Anna and the French Kiss and Die for Me to name a couple I loved, and they always ALWAYS give me wanderlust. The cafes, the history, the art, the slower pace, the savouriness – everything about Paris (at least, how it’s described in books!) makes me want to visit.
Achieve my Goodreads Reading Challenge Goal: I was so close last year! I think I set a goal of 150 books? And I was on track until I hit my slump in August. I’ve made my goal a little smaller this year, only 100, and so far I’m ahead by 3! I’m mostly curious to see what happens on Goodreads if I hit it – do I get a special congrats from the team at Goodreads? (No spoilers please! Haha)
Design PLR from top to bottom: I did a lot of the “design” work on PLR this time around, but it was only with the help of the Tweak Me Theme that it was possible. I would love to grow my CSS/HTML skills to a point where I could successfully design and code PLR to look/feel exactly how I wanted.
Attend BEA: My husband loves New York, and he’s always going on about how we need to make a trip there together. I’m hoping that on the day we get around to planning that trip, we can make sure it’s around the same time as BEA
Join a Book Club: I would love to meet some people in my area who are as passionate about books as I am. I’m a little nervous that I would be “forced” to read something I really didn’t want to, but I think the pros outweigh that relatively small con!
Own a book store: I think this is probably the most unrealistic bucket list goal that I have, considering the decline of independently owned bookstores, but I would LOVE to own my own little shop that was bursting with books! I love how organized the big box retailers are, but I love walking in to a cozy little indie book shop, where books are piled all over the place, teetering in some cases, filling every nook and cranny. I think I could be very happy, pushing my favourites on to unsuspecting customers, muahah!
Road trip to an author event: I’m not sure what author I’d be excited enough to meet that I’d plan a whole road trip around driving to go see them, but I’d love to find an author that got me that excited! Maybe Laini Taylor – she did break my heart, afterall.
Attend an Epic Reads’ Tea Time: This event is ALWAYS held while I’m at work, so I’ve never been able to attend one! I would love to be able to participate during a live event, versus watching the video after all the fun’s over.
Meet some bloggers in real life: I talk to you guys online, but I would love to meet face-to-face so we could gush about all things bookish over some tea and cookies!
Get quoted in a book: I would love to be one of the reviewers that gets quoted in the first few pages of a book! How exciting would that be??
